Mastery Club:
Are you up for a BIG challenge? Well then you are at the right place!
Mastery Club is for all students who want to go enrich their lives, think outside the box, and extend their learning beyond 8:00am- 2:15pm.
How does it work? Students pick one challenge from the list of 86 in areas of math, language arts, science, and social studies. Students research and study their challenge outside of the school day. Students can use the links to help them study. Practice your new skill with your parents, your brother or sister, your friends. When you feel that you have "mastered" your new challenge, set up an appointment with Mrs. Hansen during one of your breaks (recess, lunch, after school) You will have one try to master your challenge. If you do not pass, you may try again the next day. If you pass you will receive a star on the Wall of Fame, if you pass 20 or more challenges then your name will be added to the Mastery Club Hall of Fame.
A special Thank You to Mrs. Heather Renz , a 4th grade teacher in Oregon, who developed the Mastery Club. She has graciously allowed me to modify and use her idea.
All 86 challenges can be found on her website: http://www.mrsrenz.net/masteryclub.htm
